BUSINESS STATUS & NEEDS SYSTEM

Sign up today!

The US Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center (CCC) is committed to improving the efficacy of business philanthropy before, during, and after disasters. A critical first step in that work is breaking down information and coordination barriers between sectors.

That is why the CCC is now offering its members FREE subscriptions to a new Business Status & Needs System (BSNS). Sharing your business status and needs means the USCCF can show governments how to prioritize business during disaster response and recovery in your community to act faster and more efficiently to get help on the way. You also know how neighboring businesses are disrupted and can reach out for business-to-business collaboration to get your community back on its feet.  And that helps you stay open longer and get back in business faster.

Become part of the solution by providing your business status and needs in every type of unexpected event that faces your community.

HAVE LOTS OF BUSINESS LOCATIONS?
YOU CAN USE A SPREADSHEET TO UPLOAD MULTIPLE LOCATION BUSINESS STATUS AND NEEDS IN AN EVENT.

The mobile app gives you an everyday business operations tool. An alternative if you have many locations and only wish to share your information in a planned or unexpected event is the Business Status and Needs spreadsheet. This lets you describe your business, its status in an emergency, and any problems or needs you wish to share with governments. You only use it in an event. The spreadsheet has three types of data:

  • Required - basic information about the business type and location.

  • Status - all locations are assumed open until, in an emergency, you update the status to closed or limited and then submit the spreadsheet.

  • Needs - this optional information allows you to further describe problems that create your closed or limited status which gives response organizations details to aid their recovery planning

To get started, Download the Business Status and Needs Spreadsheet Template

Follow the spreadsheet instructions to create your list of business locations. Then submit those locations to us at info@SABERspace.org to validate the format and return secure access credentials to you. Then, you'll be ready for the next event that impacts any of your business locations.

To be clear, we do not ask for, and please do not submit, any confidential information. If you do not want to provide any information in any column, leave it out.

You can submit the spreadsheet as often as you wish when an event occurs – any event, large or small. When an event affects your business operation you simply change the status and the reasons for the business disruption on the spreadsheet we provide back to you. You save the spreadsheet and go to the SABERspace.org website where you enter your access credentials to upload the current status spreadsheet.

It is that easy.

Mobile App Hand-0001.png

The mobile app is perfect to allow individual owner/operators to update their everyday operational status and store managers of larger companies to keep everyone informed. The app permanently shows all businesses and in an event shares status and needs with national, state, and local governments to help them set priorities for businesses to stay open longer and reopen faster.

Free spreadsheet upload lets central operations manage the status and needs of the whole company

Spreadsheet upload is a simple way for a corporate operations center to maintain the status and needs of all stores centrally. They become the single source to vet and share status with governments. The spreadsheet is used only in an event to share situational awareness while the mobile app helps keeps you operational all year long.

SUBSCRIBE TO ADD BUSINESS LOCATIONS, AUTOMATE STATUS, AND GET THE PREMIUM, PRIVATE MOBILE APP

The mobile app and spreadsheet give you two free and effective ways to add and update all your business locations. SpotOnResponse also offers subscriptions that will inexpensively upload your businesses to SABER twice a year. A premium subscription to the SpotOnResponse mobile app includes uploading all your businesses to the app as well as many expanded features useful every day in running your business. And if you have many locations, we can fully automate the update pulling information from security systems, electrical systems, and other internal building management systems to completely take humans out of the status reporting process.
