ABOUT US

SpotOnResponse was created to make the world a little more secure.

"With SpotOnResponse, we finally have a pocket-sized tool that makes a nationwide impact to ensure every community's preparedness, our response personnel accountability and safety, and the security of our friends and family."

- Craig Fugate, Former FEMA Administrator

The first commercial software for incident management - the Emergency Information System - was released in 1981.  And Jim Morentz did it.  The inspiration and design was based on combining academic study (Ph.D. in communications and technology from the University of Pennsylvania) and practical analysis (more than 250 post-disaster studies for the National Governors Association and the U.S. State Department).

After about five years of constant software evolution founded in dozens of real-world disaster and planned event responses, Jim met Craig Fugate when he was serving in Alachua County, Florida.  Craig's commitment to employing technology wherever it helps solve emergency management problems was legendary through his leadership positions in the State of Florida and FEMA. SpotOnResponse continues the technology evolution Jim began and is now strengthened by the enormous practical experience Craig brings to the team.

Every year there are dozens of natural disasters and widespread life-threatening emergencies just in the United States alone, which is why Craig and Jim have teamed up to deliver SpotOnResponse as the best "Whole Community" incident management application, ever.
